THE EXTERNALIZATION OF HIEARCHY
Again, Master D. K. talks about the acute world crisis and the fate or heavy karma mankind is facing at that time. He and the other Teachers on the inner levels can see it from a broader perspective and He explains that because mankind is facing their fate, they are unaware of the broader picture.
Hierarchy is aware of two very important facts as They view the present situation:
Fact One is that mankind is very much aware that they were responsible for the present dire situation through their own mistakes. They also observed that men either admitted their part in the present circumstances or put the blame on others rather than owning up to their part in the cause and effect. Here Master D. K. brings up the Versailles Treaty as the symbol and the practical focal point. I am giving you a birds-eye of why this Treaty was controversial and went on from WWI up to a year before WWII – signed at the Palace of Versailles on June 28th, 1919. This article is about the Treaty of
Versailles of 28 June 1919, at the end of World War I. For, exactly five years
after the assassination
of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which led to
the war. The other Central Powers on
the German side signed separate treaties.[i] Although
the armistice of 11 November 1918 ended the actual fighting, it
took six months of Allied negotiations at the Paris Peace
Conference to conclude the peace treaty.
The treaty was registered by the Secretariat of the League of Nations on
21 October 1919.
Of the many provisions in the treaty,
one of the most important and controversial was: "The Allied and
Associated Governments affirm and Germany accepts the responsibility of Germany
and her allies for causing all the loss and damage to which the Allied and
Associated Governments and their nationals have been subjected as a consequence
of the war imposed upon them by the aggression of Germany and her allies."
The other members of the Central Powers signed treaties containing similar articles.
This article, Article
231, became known as the War Guilt
clause. The treaty required Germany to disarm, make ample territorial concessions, and pay reparations to certain countries that had formed the Entente
powers. In 1921 the total cost of these reparations was assessed at
132 billion gold marks (then
$31.4 billion or £6.6 billion, roughly equivalent to US$442 billion
or UK£284 billion in 2022).
Prominent economists such as John Maynard Keynes declared the treaty too harsh—a "Carthaginian peace"—and said the reparations were excessive and
counter-productive. On the other hand, prominent Allied
figures such as French Marshal Ferdinand Foch,
criticized the treaty for treating Germany too leniently. This is still the
subject of ongoing debate by historians and economists.
The result of these competing and
sometimes conflicting goals among the victors was a compromise that left no one
satisfied. In particular, Germany was neither pacified nor conciliated, nor was it permanently weakened.
The problems that arose from the treaty would lead to the Locarno Treaties,
which improved relations between Germany and the other European powers, and the
re-negotiation of the reparation system resulting in the Dawes Plan,
the Young Plan, and the indefinite postponement of reparations at
the Lausanne Conference of 1932. The treaty has sometimes been cited as a cause of World War II: although its actual impact was not as severe as feared,
its terms led to great resentment in Germany which powered the rise of
the Nazi Party.
Although it is often referred to as
the "Versailles Conference", only the actual signing of the treaty
took place at the historic palace. Most of the negotiations were in Paris, with
the "Big Four" meetings taking place generally at the French Ministry of
Foreign Affairs on the Quai d'Orsay.
There were many other treaties signed from that year
forward the following is just a few of the meetings and treaty signings that
occurred over a period of 20 years – this is why the Masters always declare
that WWII was just a continuation of WWI in other words “The Great War”.

Fact Two: D. K. also explains that although mankind was experiencing war, separation, cruelty, passion, and selfishness, He declared that mankind at the same time was expressing goodwill, understanding, love and compassion more than any other time. This fact was because of the “inner unity” and subjective interrelation which they were all somewhat conscious of; and that all aspirants and men and women of goodwill everywhere, who’s tasks were to realize that no matter what is going on in the outer world of conflict, war, or disease, none of this should cut out the voice of the soul which has been speaking with increasing clarity for over a period of fourteen years. Ever since the last Conclave which met in the year 1925 this “voice of the soul” has been real and effective.
Interesting, that we now learn that at that Conclave the First “happening” was the influx of the “Christ principle” of “true love” which showed immediate and rapid response in movements such as humanitarian, goodwill, philanthropic and especially the awakening of men to the idea of “brotherhood”.
That meeting of the Masters of Wisdom led to three results or happenings that were now being played out in the year 1939:
The First happening was the influx of the Christ Principle of spiritual or true love which is free from the emotions and selfishness. This brought about the movements of goodwill, humanitarian endeavors increase in charitable giving and more understanding of brotherhood.
The Second happening was the building of relationships and the interaction of groups through communication using world communication systems such as radio and new outlets – this resulted in mankind finding a way of becoming more united through these various channels.
The Third happening was the influx of Will from Shamballa – the most powerful energy and force that the world has experienced up until the present time. This great force brought about rapid changes in every area of endeavor.
He reminds us of how Shamballa energy was used in the past. The first was the implanting of light into animal man during the time of Lemuria bringing as a result, the individualization of the human being. The second time was during the great struggle between the dark forces and the forces of Light upon Atlantis, and at the time of WWII at the writing of this book. Shamballa was again at work bringing about the current crisis of the Great War, while at the same time it was and is an opportunity for men to move forward through the Will of God and the Love of God. Therefore, mankind has now the opportunity to live in the material world and still maintain his spirituality while experiencing this great initiation under the Second Ray of Love/Wisdom, that mankind is still experiencing today. This is called the “second crisis” the initiation of the human race into the Mystery of the Ages, into all that has been hidden from the beginning. He then gives us a breakdown of the great planetary centers and how they relate in the following chart.

There’s been a complete change of direction at the present time. Today the Shamballa force does not come through the Hierarchy as it did in the past; but is coming directly into the planet. This direct impact is stimulating mankind’s personalities, especially those who are under the will aspect that are still not expressing the love aspect. Hierarchy felt that as this experiment was only working with this particular group it would not have any effect upon the common man; but it still could affect the more mental and potent type of man.
They have seen these powerful Shamballa energies work out among the more selfish and powerful personalities in all countries. At the same time they have seen this negative effect offset by the increase of the Christ Consciousness, which has grown over the many years into many humanitarian endeavors, the interrelationship between countries through communication, and also the growing sense of at-one-ment bringing more loving understanding and goodwill among mankind.
No
matter what was happening upon the outer plane of existence at that time and
even today – Hierarchy works within the light and never gets caught up in the
world of illusion and the happenings in our material world. All life is in flux
and therefore the Hierarchy adheres to the spiritual development of mankind,
which will eventually overcome any evil happenings that could occur at any
given time. They can see already the greater advancement of the spiritual
development among many individuals as well as the desire among mankind for more
peaceful interactions upon this material plane. Master D. K. expresses the four
factors:
1.
Racial
evolution, which warrants a better vehicle of human and racial expression – (we
are still seeing this racial evolution working out today wherein there must
eventually be a fusing of all races as old racial hatred and bigotry begins to
fade along with the Piscean Age).
2. Upon
the karmic causes that can be traced back to Atlantean times.
3. Upon
the incoming incarnation of potent personalities-their destiny is to bring
about great evolutionary changes. (We can see this today, all around the world,
in those who have established the many organizations, the marches and parades
as well as those who address our government on behalf of the many races who are
still being mistreated and abused).
4. Then
there are the great influx of Energies and Forces which are and will be
instrumental in making major changes to our existing civilization and culture. These
energies coming from “the One in Whom we live and move and have our being” are
right now ongoing, presenting humanity with that stage of each disciple which
we call “the meeting of the Dweller on the Threshold- with the Angel of the
Presence”- in other words the whole planet is undergoing this particular
initiation.
These four stages of the “Law of Cause and Effect” (as it affects humanity at this time) might be called:
1. The perfecting of form expression - Law of Evolution
2. The precipitation of karma – Law of Cause & Effect
3. The achievement of personality – Law of Polar Opposites
4. The attainment of planetary initiation – Law of Initiation
The Master D. K. made it clear to His students that He was not there to sugar-coat the dreadful outer events that were happening at that time; but instead to make certain that the students had a true understanding of head and heart reaction. He encouraged them to observe the present events; but to try and understand the past and present mistakes that had brought these terrible happenings into the whole world at that time. He continued to state that it was, and is, not the currant mistakes, but what happened way back in ancient times- so far back in time that historians did not have any records of what occurred back then. He went on to give two points of view that would clarify “the cause and effect” of the present World War.
To be clear, He states that there are no academic accounts of what happened way back in the dawn of time; but He did state that there are references to these ancient happenings in the Scriptures, in ancient monuments, the science of Symbols, even racial myths and in the inherited and oral history brought down generation to generation.
The other fact He disclosed is the study of man himself, for man holds the key to the history of human affairs as a whole and must be held accountable for “every jot and tiddle” as quoted from the Bible.
And the last reason the Master gave was that the current crisis also related to the three world centers Humanity, the Hierarchy and Shamballa – to the approach as well as the relationship between the Hierarchy and Humanity. It is because “the Great spiritual center of force, the Human Kingdom, had now reached a point of much potency and of such a high vibratory activity that it was shaken to its very depths, all its evolutionary grades and groups were responding to the stimulation, generated within the center itself and also stimulated by Forces emanating from the hierarchical center and from Shamballa”. I quoted exactly what He gave us within these pages because we need to meditate upon His words to digest what was happening and is still happening within the “Great Spiritual Center of Force”. We need to also understand that it is always through crisis that we are forced out of complacency and into a greater awareness of what is actually occurring within ourselves. These great forces of energy penetrate and stimulate our minds and hearts, as well as all that lives within the four kingdoms. This very stimulation increases and expands our consciousness and at the same time has a powerful and negative effect upon those who are working with the dark forces. Again, we are faced with Light vs Darkness and as the Master has continually stated “that Light will always win the day”.
The final outcome of this whole experiment and present crisis is if it works out correctly, it will bring about the Fifth Spiritual Kingdom upon the Earth. It will fuse Hierarchy and Humanity Centers upon the Earth. – He wants us to note that He is using His words with care.
He did mention that an earlier crisis within the animal kingdom brought about a new kingdom in nature – the human! He goes on to give us an explanation of what occurred in that ancient time – He said that He hoped by his conveying to His students the ancient history, that they would live through that evil situation with patience, goodwill, balance, and compassion; and in doing so they could help others to live calmly through the crisis that was WWII at that time.
He gave them four points that He felt would cover all the major events that would bring them a measure of light. He also mentions that later on He would explain the “Great Invocation”, its nature of the Forces invoked, and the esoteric meaning of what the words convey. In the following teaching the Master will explain how mankind came to be involved in the Great War at that time.
The Cause of the Present Crisis
He tells the student that the Law of Rebirth is the great and major law in all the processes of manifestation. It relates exoterically to the Solar Logos or a human being. This recurring rebirth is to gradually bring about the perfection of the body vehicle as a service to the journey of the soul. It is only at this present time that the human family has reached a point where they can understand this process of rebirth as an expression of spiritual culture in evolution. This is why this crisis at the present time is very much a fact within the human consciousness – many smaller crises have occurred within other nations having to do with the evolution of tribal renewal of forms within those nations and have been acknowledged by the public. During the past two hundred years there has also been evolutionary advancement such as the French Revolution and similar occurrences in other nations as well. But the World War II crisis was the greatest because it involved so many nations within both hemispheres – no nation remained unaffected and must have registered in some aspects of national life.
This crisis (WWII) effected life in every nation and through the intercommunications network every nation was aware; besides this fact it is also the first international crisis in human history that covered twenty-eight years, from 1914-1942 – in numerology the 28 is 4 x 7, which are the years of a complete personality cycle. Please note here that Master D. K. is writing this in 1939 and so He makes it clear to His students that whether or not the conflict is over earlier than 1942 is determined by humanity itself; as men must increasingly determine their own fate especially as they are now emerging from adolescence into that of responsibility, maturity, and achievement – he reiterates that this twenty-eight-year cycle is of paramount importance and upon the next three years much depends.
As we are now very aware from our history that this war did not actually end until 1945, even though the Treaty was signed, there was still much dissatisfaction between certain nations. He then goes on to explain that even Hierarchy could not predict what mankind will do. Even though Hierarchy is constantly stimulating “right action,” It still sends out its disciples and teachers to educate and lead the race, but at no time can it command or assume control. It can still bring good out of evil and can also point to certain situations and how one can solve and find solutions, but Hierarchy cannot go any further. The reason is that mankind has reached a point where they have to take responsibility for their problems otherwise, they will not move forward into their expanded consciousness or be able to solve their own problems. Of course the Masters of Wisdom could have come in and made the crisis go away but in doing so They would have gone against the occult law and would have also hindered the development of mankind. Herein is the problem, Hierarchy cannot hold the hand of humanity, rather mankind must stand up and act consciously on their own if they are to move forward on their evolutionary path.
Remember it was man himself who brought about this crisis in the first place, and it will have to be man himself who has to take “right action.” Hierarchy will stand with them and support them with love and compassion, and mankind will come through it enriched and purified. He finishes by saying “These are not platitudes but eternal truths…”
Each life, mankind is intended to learn from birth to the time when lessons for that particular life have ended and the body begins to deteriorate. The natural process is for destructive forces within the physical vehicle to begin their work until finally death occurs. This cycle is finished - and the indwelling life moves on and begins to build a better form for the next incarnation – when all mankind accepts this cycle – a process that is both normal and inevitable. This process happens in each cycle of civilization as the individual incarnates and goes through birth into maturity and then deterioration and finally death.
He further states that most forms are subject to open attack; but a strong subjective life and spiritual detachment are two safeguards. Whenever the form-life (living in the material world) is more prevalent than the spiritual life, danger is imminent; and where attachment to the material aspect or organization is present, spiritual values are lost. (Just look around you right now in the year 2022, and what are we seeing before our very eyes, a world filled with illusion, everything is displayed for our eyes to feast upon, it’s definitely a “material world” filled with every form of temptation, to keep us from seeking our true inheritance, our spiritual selves).
He further tells us that our whole civilization is going through a “death cycle” – in every area of expression we can see the deterioration and destruction, i.e. the worn-out religious dogma; the theologies and worn-out teaching no longer can hold the congregation’s attention, they are leaving by the thousands seeking a new form, that will bring them to an expansion of consciousness. The old political schools are also failing, and groups are now seeking new and more peaceful ways to govern, while the educational systems around the world are also regrouping and are now seeking new and more adequate and universal educational methods especially today as social media brings all nations, religions, and educational systems before the public. This is the time today, when change is coming in all major areas around the world and people are demanding the need for change within the political, educational, and religious as well as the economic systems throughout the world which will allow for a freer and higher spiritual expression everywhere upon the planet. There are many who are kicking and screaming as they see it as a form of death to the old patterns and many are unwilling to move with the times.
It is indeed, “time for a change” and everyone who is intelligently realizing that change is what must happen at this cycle, are moving into action on all fronts, initiating new and improved solutions to outworn systems. As the old civilization begins to fade along with the Piscean Age, new patterns and new groups will emerge who will be leading humanity into the New Age and new cycle of civilization. The worst scenario would be if mankind didn’t move forward and remained within the old patterns and the old civilizations – if they were never transformed into the new higher and better patterns – this would indeed be a disaster.
While you have all those who are moving forward into the new paradigm - building and developing a fuller experience and greater expression and at the same time experiencing its spiritual force of change and progress - you have the attitudes of those who wish to adhere to the will-known and familiar, while hating anything new and unfamiliar. Both of these will be working in what we call the “great transition” from the past on into the future, from old patterns into the new. The Master D. K. finally expresses the whole process in these words: “The realities are eternal and undying; the forms are ephemeral and temporary; the soul is persistent and deathless; the form is changing and doomed to die. The processes of evolution have in the past and will in the future prove successful in bringing forms to birth, to maturity and to death”.
Significantly important, says D. K., is that at the present time humanity is for the very first time aware of the process and has even chosen to observe what is going on and can now relate it to experience and to environment. This really shows how far we’ve come in our evolutionary development. Around the world, people are reasoning, analyzing, while at the same time, coming up with different viewpoints in every country on a large scale because of their traditions, development, and training.
So at this stage of the death and birth of civilization, working out simultaneously, can be understood by the esotericist as he studies the world war in its two distinctive periods – 1914-1918 and 1939-1942 (actually 1945). The first stage was the death stage, 1914-1918, while 1939-1942-45 is definitely the birth stage – the birth stage of the new civilization through which humanity will express itself. He expresses the “old civilization as the Mother”, who dies in order for her child (the new civilization) to live. In other words, it is the death of the personality of humanity and the coming in of the soul.
Finally, He states that dying is ever a painful process; but pain is also a purifying process, employed by the Lords of Destiny to bring about liberation. These two stages (WWI & WWII) of accumulated pain from 1914 to the present time is bringing about a changing world consciousness. The Lord of Pain has descended from His throne and is treading the ways of earth today, bringing distress, agony, and terror to those who cannot interpret His ends, but also bringing a re-stimulation of the instinct to self-preservation which – in its higher aspect – is the instinct of immortality; it tends to focus humanity’s attention upon the life aspect and not upon the form. The names of the Lords of Karma signify symbolically and from the angle of their inner meaning, Relationship, Enlightenment, Pain and Return. They are all peculiarly active at this time, and in their activity lies the hope of humanity.
I didn’t change any of the words that the Master D. K. gave us in this last paragraph because there are no words to explain them in our limited understanding; but when we look back on those terrible wars over 104 years ago, we can now clearly understand what the Master was talking about. Certain nations have moved ahead and are working towards resolving through the acts of communication and negotiation rather than warfare; and although we’re still seeing wars and rumors here and there throughout the world, we now have a clearer picture of what’s behind much of what’s still occurring in our world. It seems that we still have those who have refused to move out of the old civilization and on into the new; and they continue to act out their old patterns of behavior whether it’s their politics, their religious fanaticism, their lack of communication and negotiation with other nations. That is why the Master D. K. and Hierarchy created these “seed groups” so that Their disciples and teachers can continue to teach and work with mankind in every field of endeavor. As He envisioned back in the day, of these groups in the future connecting around the world and bringing the light into all areas of the world, is now actually happening. This is now occurring in almost every country and will continue to grow until the light will encompass this entire planet making giant leaps in how each nation is governed. The changes will also take place in the field of economics, politics, science, religion, and education – all of this is part of God’s Plan for this new civilization and ultimately the fusing of Hierarchy with Humanity living within the Fifth Kingdom on Earth.
